I'm always impressed with how technology manifests itself, especially in the sociopolitical context. Barack Obama has been lauded for his effective use of technology to get out the vote. The Obama iPhone app is a perfect example of this. The app scans your contacts for people who live in key battleground states so you can call them and encourage them to vote (in this case for Obama).
